PRP is a natural product that comes from the patient's own blood (autologous) 100% biocompatible and is injected without any risk of rejection or allergy.
In aesthetic medicine, the PRP injection technique is called "Vampire Lift", as it aims to revitalize the skin by stimulating the stem cells that make collagen and elastin. Also used in the scalp, this product acts on the stem cells of the hair follicle and actively regenerates the hair.
Platelet-rich plasma with Mesotherapy
Platelet-rich plasma with “Booster”
Platelet-rich plasma with “Booster” (PRP)
Let's get to know this magical skin treatment! In the blood, we have three types of cells: red blood cells, white blood cells, and platelets which are rich in plasma. Here, only blood platelets are of interest.
In a blood test, it is easy to separate these elements to extract only the plasma enriched with platelets.
Plasma is a serum that contains skin nutrients:
Vitamins, hormones, minerals, and proteins, substances essential for cell survival.
Platelets are cells that contain several growth factors that stimulate stem cells in the area where PRP is injected.
Platelet Rich Plasma treatment has been known for more than twenty years as a treatment for osteoarthritis, tendonitis, or case of ligament rupture. Its virtues are now more and more used in anti-aging medicine.
Prevent skin aging or "Vampire Lift":
Platelet Rich Plasma preserves the natural moisture of the skin and protects it from all external influences (tobacco, pollution, etc.). This skin treatment is ideal from the age of 25, great to regain the natural radiance of the skin, and act as an anti-aging treatment that triggers early wrinkles. This treatment was publicized under the name "Vampire Lift" in a planetary fashion by Kim Kardashian.
Give a boost:
Given the growth factors contained in the platelet-rich plasma, the treatment will stimulate local microcirculation and the production of collagen. The skin becomes softer, more toned, and rejuvenated. The whole skin complexion becomes rosier, more alive. It is a boost that gives a gorgeous glow when treating a face with micro-injections of platelet extracts.
Wrinkles:
Starting from the forties, wrinkles become more visible as the skin of the face and neck begins to crumble, especially if a person has been exposed to the sun throughout their life.
PRP injections will restart the production of collagen. Once under the skin, the PRP (plasma rich in platelets) takes on a gelatinous consistency. A framework of fibrin is created which will be colonized by the surrounding cells. Thus, the PRP will recreate living tissue where it is injected.
Dark circles:
PRP is a great treatment for dark circles as its injected product has the color of plasma (light yellow) and its consistency is very fluid. The result is regularly spectacular and natural: lightening of dark circles which makes them appear less marked.
Scars treatment:
PRP injection treatment promotes collagen synthesis, repairs scars, and fills depressions caused by acne. The skin regains its elasticity, thickness, and resistance properties. PRP injections also accelerate healing and reduce local inflammation in the skin.
The capillary stimulation:
The vitality, color, and shine of your hair will be enhanced. Hair loss will slow down after the 2nd session and their regrowth can be observed after a minimum of 2 to 3 months. PRP injections into the scalp help slow hair loss while stimulating regrowth.
This technique can be used to treat:
If there is a complete absence of hair in one or more areas, this treatment is not considered. No stimulation is possible.
This procedure begins with a simple blood sample from the arm. It is not necessary to be on an empty stomach. The collected blood is then centrifuged for 5 minutes in order to obtain a plasma product containing a high concentration of platelets.
The treatment is carried out with or without local anesthesia. The area to be treated is disinfected beforehand, then the professional injects the PRP preparation (several milliliters of concentrate) using a fine needle. The depth and rate of distribution of the product are adapted according to the expected result and the patient. Several injection sites are needed at each session to treat the entire affected area.
PRP is a recent and innovative method with many advantages in terms of regenerative and preventive medicine. The interest of the method lies in the fact that it is natural. There is no foreign product so there is no risk of reaction. All accompanied by very few side effects related to the technique.
The regular and reasoned use of PRP is totally in line with a preventive anti-aging medicine approach with lower risk. PRP also represents an effective alternative for patients who are potentially resistant to more usual aesthetic therapies (Botox, hyaluronic acid, etc.)
BEFORE: Any medication that promotes bleeding should be avoided in the week preceding treatment with PRP.
Tanned skin is not recommended
WHEN: A session usually lasts 45 minutes. The PRP therapy can be uncomfortable, even a little painful, so local anesthesia can be proposed.
AFTER: You can resume your normal activities immediately after treatment.
SUITES: After treatment, Slight redness can be observed. Small edema lasting a few days may also appear after the injections.
The results are gradual:
PRP for the skin:
Immediately after the session, there is already a marked improvement in the radiance and tone of the skin. After a month, the skin becomes softer, smoother, and less wrinkled. The complexion becomes fresher and benefits from a boost of radiance.
The frequency and number of injections required depend on the indication. For aesthetic indications, 3 sessions are generally recommended with an interval of 3 to 4 weeks. Annual maintenance treatment is necessary thereafter to maintain the benefit of therapy.
Scalp PRP:
There is a significant improvement in the texture and density of the hair from the first session. A clear reduction in the fall, then regrowth of the dormant follicles under the skin after the second and the third session.
For hair problems, 3 to 5 sessions are generally recommended with an interval of 3 to 4 weeks. Maintenance treatment is necessary every 6 months to maintain the result. The expected results may vary depending on each individual.
