Radio frequency with microneedling

Radiofrequency has been used for more than 10 years in aesthetic medicine. There are several kinds of radiofrequency devices with different powers and a variable number of electrodes (monopolar, bipolar, tripolar, etc.)—some devices couple radio frequency with other technology. The Main d'Or clinic chose the device that combines radiofrequency waves with micro-needling.

Treatment costs vary based on the targeted region, ranging from

500 to $900 per session

What is Microneedling Radiofrequency?

It is an innovative technique made by a device that introduces fractionated electromagnetic waves into the skin by an applicator equipped with several micro-needles. These waves will create heating in the hypodermis tissue at the end of each micro-needle. This heat will firm and densify sagging skin by activating the fibroblasts of cells that synthesize collagen, elastin, and hyaluronic acid naturally present in the body.

What Does the Treatment Involve?

After disinfection of the area to be treated, the practitioner prepares the room. An anesthetic cream is applied for more comfort during the session.
The practitioner delimits the treatment area by marking sterile fields as soon as the anesthesia is in place.
The practitioner adjusts the treatment parameters and puts the applicator in contact with the patient's skin. The practitioner moves the applicator gradually throughout the treatment to cover the area to be treated.

The advantages of Radiofrequency with micro-needling

This innovative technology combines the benefits of micro-needling with radio frequency, taking skin rejuvenation to the next level. Targeting different skin layers for treatment customization and increased effectiveness is possible. Patients can continue their daily activities with no downtime right after treatment.

Tips for a Successful Treatment

BEFORE: Sunbathing, as well as UV, is not recommended before the treatment. Taking bromelain 4 days before the session is advisable to limit the consequences. The treatment is carried out after applying an anesthetic cream for 1 hour.
DURING: The Morpheus8 session lasts between 30 to 60 minutes. The patient feels an intense warming sensation made very comfortable by the prior application of an anesthetic cream.
AFTER: The patient feels the sensation of heating for a few hours Redness may persist for a few hours to a few days, depending on the skin Edema may be present for a few days Crusts are exceptionally visible
SUITES: You can resume your activities immediately A refreshing cream can be applied to the skin for a few days Sun exposure is not recommended for the first week. You must protect the skin from the sun with SPF 50+ sun protection for a month Makeup is possible the next day Keeping your skin well-hydrated and drinking plenty of water is essential.

Expected results

The result after the session appears gradually in the following weeks as the body will produce collagen, elastin, and hyaluronic acid. The skin regains a better tone. It seems smoother and regains its elasticity. Missing volumes are recreated, and the skin is deeply repaired.
A complete treatment may require 3 to 4 sessions spaced 3 weeks apart, depending on the skin's condition.
Results last for several years and may vary from patient to patient.
