What is the InstaLift thread facelift?
Thread lifting, also known as face lift, is a procedure in which temporary sutures are used to produce a subtle but visible ""lift"" of the skin. Instead of surgically removing loose skin from the patient's face, the Clinique Main d'or Professionals at Clinique Main d'or simply suspend it by gripping parts of it to the threads. This has the effect of pulling the skin slightly upwards, thus lifting and tightening the face, offering an alternative to the traditional facelift.

You begin with a consultation with a Clinique Main d'or professional. During this consultation, it's important to be open and honest about your treatment expectations. This will help the Clinique Main d'or Professionals tailor the number of wires to be used and their locations to your unique needs. The Professionnels de la Clinique Main d'or begins by marking the entry and exit points of the threads on your face with a marker, then cleansing your face with sterile solution. A local anesthetic will be injected where the sutures will enter and exit the skin.
Once the surface is numbed, the Instalift sutures will be inserted, and the Clinique Main d'or Professionals will position them precisely where they need to be to achieve the desired elevator. The thread cones will be locked in place by gently massaging and sweeping the skin to create an immediate ""lift"" effect.
Before finalizing the ""lift"", the Clinique Main d'or Professionals will place you in a 90° seated position to check symmetry and make adjustments if necessary. Outgoing sutures are pulled and cut at the surface, allowing the end of the suture to sink below the surface. BEFORE : Bleeding-promoting medications should be avoided in the week prior to the procedure.
DURING: This treatment, often sought under pricey facial tensor threads, takes less than an hour to complete with minimal discomfort.
AFTER: Apply cold compresses immediately after the procedure if necessary (Cold ¨packs¨ should be wrapped to avoid direct contact with the skin and insertion site).
Acetaminophen can be taken in case of pain.
Make-up can be applied gently after a minimum of 24 hours.
Sleep face up, in an elevated position on pillows for 3 to 5 nights.
Do not rub the face aggressively when washing, shaving or drying for 5 days. Avoid excessive movement of the face and neck for 2 weeks.
Avoid exposure to direct sunlight and UV rays for 2 weeks.
Avoid participating in high-impact sports (e.g. running) for 2 weeks. Do not use saunas for 3 weeks.

SUITS : After this treatment, slight edema or bruising may occur with tenderness at the treatment site. These dissipate within 24 to 48 hours of the procedure.
